Commercial Gas Engineer Coventry Full Time Permanent 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday NO OUT OF HOURS Grade 7 - £32,670 - £42,739 ASAP Aspire People are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer to work for a fantastic School based in Coventry. The role is Permanent position and looking to start ASAP on successful interview. Day to day responsibilities: To carry out installation and maintenance work to heating installations of all types in domestic and commercial buildings and be fully conversant with all aspects of the heating systems that operate at the premises To carry out installation and maintenance work to plumbing, drainage and sanitation installations of all types in domestic and commercial buildings and be fully conversant with all aspects of these systems that operate at the premises To undertake fault-finding, problem-solving, diagnosis and repair of performance concerns as may affect the operation and proper performance of the plumbing, drainage and heating systems To carry out periodic inspection and testing of gas and oil-fired installations and appliances to include completion of relevant test and maintenance certification in accordance with the relevant industry regulations (ie:GAS SAFE; OFTEC; etc). To complete other forms of certification as may be appropriate (eg; TMVs, etc) To complete other forms of regulatory certification as may be appropriate and within the remit of the post-holders relevant qualifications To carry out installation and maintenance work to the Group's fuel tanks, pipelines, valves, pumps, control gear, meters and associated equipment To undertake associated multi-trades duties such as minor general plastering and joinery work. To carry out and complete all works to a high standard, in a competent manner and to leave the site of works in a clean and tidy condition. To liaise with other staff and external contractors in a positive and cooperative manner and as necessary to ensure the timely and proper completion of works to support reasonable operational expectations. To ensure appropriate and timely completion of all paperwork, job/time sheets and certification and its recording within established archive and filing systems. To work with line manager and provide advice and information relating to technical matters. Ensure that any required qualifications for this position remain valid and that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken in accordance with appropriate timescales. To attend meetings, training sessions and conferences as required. To participate and provide an out of hours emergency service on a periodic basis and in association with the input of others. To act at all times in accordance with the Foundation's rules, policies, procedures and ethos. To supervise, direct and positively motivate junior staff and/or apprentices who may be appointed to assist and support the wider performance of this role. To carry out, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities as are reasonably compatible with this job description and its objectives You will need to be/have: Experience in this type of job role - at least 2 years plus Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for this role Skills in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of residential and commercial heating systems. to understand and deliver good customer service good attention to detail to demonstrate good time management and project management skills Qualifications Domestic Qualifications: CCN1: Domestic core gas safety CENWAT: Domestic central heating/boilers/water heaters CKR1: Domestic cookers DAH1: Domestic warm air units Commercial Qualifications: CODNCO1: Changeover from domestic to commercial gas safety CIGA1: Indirect fired gas appliances CDGA1: Direct fired gas appliances CORT1: Overhead radiant and plaque head heaters ICPN1: Pipework first fix commercial TPCP1A: Testing and purging <1M3 in volume LPG Qualifications: CONGLP/PD: LPG permanent dwellings These are some fantastic opportunities and at Aspire People we listen to and care about our candidates.
