Great Bear is an award-winning 3rd Party UK business of Ambient products, providing nationwide dedicated and shared user warehousing and distribution solutions.

We are currently looking for both experienced and newly qualified professional HGV C+E Drivers on permanent basis for our contract at our Brackmills, Northampton depot.

Shifts: 4o4o nights

Rates:

£13.50 per hour

Additional £1 p/h for working 4o4o

Additional £1 p/h for working nights

Overtime = £19.55 per hour - Nights after completing weekly contractual hours

Normal hours of work:

3 Day Rostered week 33 hrs per week

Paid hours per contracted week 31.5 hrs per week

Paid hours per contracted day 10.5 hrs per day

Break deducted per shift 30 mins unpaid

4 Day Rostered week 44 hrs per week

Paid hours per contracted week 42 hrs per week

Paid hours per contracted day 10.5 hrs per day

Break deducted per shift 30 mins unpaid

Job Description

To deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule

Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork

Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene

Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department

Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive

Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times

Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure

Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks

Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery

Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business

Any other duties as reasonably required

Qualifications

Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence

Current CPC

Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers hours.

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.

Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadline
