We are seeking an exceptional professional as Learning & Development (L&D) Manager for the Global Specialty Businesses (GSB). As L&D Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our learning and development activities and in acting as advisor and partner to our business teams. In close cooperation with our business leaders, you will help drive their business and people agenda. In your role, you will also help us shape our global leader development approach and offerings. You will work with our global team to deliver impactful programs and initiatives worldwide, both for blended/virtual as well as in-person formats. More specifically, your role will include thought partnering on needs and agenda setting with senior stakeholders, journey and program design, overseeing program delivery and impact tracking, creating other learning and development interventions, as well as working with external vendors and coaching junior team members. Building on your strong expertise, you will also help us drive learner experience, innovation, and advancement of our L&D function globally.


  • Strategic learning and development planning
  • Leadership development program design and delivery
  • Performance consulting and development intervention design
  • Cross-regional and remote learning management and delivery, including organization and logistics
  • Learner experience design and/or group facilitation, including virtual and blended formats
  • Analytical and problem-solving tasks, including strong business judgment
  • Managing projects and teams within a matrixed, global, and virtual organization
  • State-of-the-art tools and technology in the learning space


  • Advanced degree with demonstrated high academic achievements in a relevant domain
  • 8 - 10+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a service-oriented company
  • Passion for learning and people
  • Affinity to knowledge and analytics professions
  • Strong planning and project management skills, high attention to detail
  • Outstanding initiative, ownership, and results-orientation
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, possibly Tableau, and familiarity with LMS and survey tools
  • Willingness for occasional international travel, with flexible schedule, where required
  • Excellent English skills


The Learning & Development function of BCG's Global Specialty Businesses (GSB) is responsible for the global learning activities for the firm's worldwide knowledge and specialty businesses, and for the management and operations teams of the Practice Areas (PAs). We work closely with the businesses, the People Team, and other BCG groups to provide our staff with world-class and high-impact learning opportunities. The Learning & Development function has launched a number of successful initiatives to help our people master their evolving roles and to support the ongoing business build and transformation in our global specialty businesses.


The People Management Team (PMT) is comprised of several centers of expertise including HR Operations, People Analytics, Career Development, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition & Branding, Compensation, and Mobility. Our centers of expertise work together to build out new teams and capabilities by sourcing, acquiring and retaining the best, diverse talent for BCG's Global Specialty Businesses.

We develop talent and capabilities, while enhancing managers' effectiveness, and building affiliation and engagement in our new global offices. The PMT also harmonizes process efficiencies, automation, and global standardization. Through analytics and digitalization, we are always looking to expand our PMT capabilities and coverage.
