About the role As a mental health support worker, you will be based inside the classroom supporting students within education You will be responsible for supporting their educational, social, and emotional development You may be required to support within the whole class, small groups or on a 1:1 basis You will need to be someone who is patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support Consistency is key, so you will need to be reliable and committed to your job About the school The schools prides themselves as being part of a supportive local authority that takes a on a child-centered learning approach All staff work to inspire, motivate, and challenge each pupil no matter what their individual needs may be Class sizes are small to ensure the needs of each pupil are met There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period You will be based in either the primary site or secondary site, depending on preference and experience Requirements To be considered for the role of Mental Health Support Worker - School Setting you will: Be willing to work in the Bristol area Have a desire to support young people with social, emotional, or mental health needs Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality Not be phased by challenging behaviour (you will need to be resilient) Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
