JOB TITLE: Night Porter LOCATION: London, W1 SALARY: £23,500 per annum HOURS: 3on 3off / 19:00 - 07:00 DESCRIPTION A Night Porter is required to work within prestigious development of luxury apartments within the W1 area of London. This position is primarily customer focused, meet and greet all visitors to reception with a helpful attitude. A background in working at 5 hotels or residential developments is highly desirable as well as the ability to work independently. Duties and Responsibilities To perform your duties and provide concierge services, in the prescribed manner, as instructed by the Building Manager or Property Manager. To inspect, on a daily basis, all internal areas of the private residential buildings and report any defects, security or health and safety concerns to the Property Manager. To set an example for other staff members by being courteous and helpful to all occupiers in addition to members of the public, other staff, guests, and to contractors. To enter all relevant comments/details in the concierge log. To receive and keep safe registered mail and deliveries for residents. To ensure deal with all general telephone enquiries and log messages. To ensure the development is a well managed, safe, clean and secure environment in which to live and work. To enter all relevant comments/details in the development log To ensure that all incidents or accidents are logged accordingly. Be fully conversant with all emergency procedure and understand the layout of the building and the operation of all equipment and be available at all times to provide practical help in unusual or emergency situations Ensure that all fire doors are kept closed & Fire escapes and exits clear at all times. Do not block doors open at any time Reporting: record all incidents, emergency call-outs etc on an incident report. Damage to common parts should be recorded and reported immediately to the Building Manager and/or Managing Agents. Water leaks or plant breakdown should be dealt with immediately and emergency service engineers should be called out where appropriate. All electric lights should be checked daily and failures reported to the Building Manager. To adopt and implement the procedures directed by the Managing Agent or their Health and Safety Consultant. To assist with the annual fire and health and safety risk assessments. To ensure CCTV cameras are monitored (where possible) and images saved as necessary. To promote sustainability initiatives as directed by the Managing Agent. To supervise any keys which may be held. To ensure that they are correctly logged in and out in accordance with agreed procedures. To receive and keep safe registered mail and deliveries for residents.
