Production Specialist, Fabrication + Event Design

The Project Director is responsible for overall management of the project including liaising with the client; supervising members of the project team, overseeing project implementation, financial and administrative oversight, marketing, reporting, and evaluation of the project.

Job Description

The primary function of this role is to serve as a specialist to the Production department in all

matters relating to the creation and fabrication of event assets and environments. The

Production Specialist will serve as a liaison between the Production and Creative departments

to ensure all objectives and deadlines are met.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Maintains knowledge of Interluxe and our clients brand standards from a corporate

identity and event/retail design perspective

- Assist in developing these standards and visual guidelines, with the creative department

when they don't exist

- Develop moodboards to sell and brief ideas both internally and externally

- Become the client lead across clients on fabrication and event design

- Sources suppliers for project bids

- Develops and distributes supplier briefs

- Develops and maintains relationships with fabricators/suppliers

- Maintains an up-to-date preferred vendor list

- Maintains knowledge of which fabricators are best suited for which project

- Works through the creation of designs (layouts/floorplan/renderings) with the creative

department based upon client briefs

- Obtain final designs from the creative department, execute on the production of items,

determines creative solutions based on availability/cost/timeline etc

- Ability to value engineer and direct suppliers on solutions for keeping costs


- Organize and track progress and deadlines for all fabrication/branded assets

- Thoroughly reviews proofs and construction drawings for accuracy; file and organize all

drawings by date

- Maintains inventory list of all client assets

- Develops and manages inventory check-in and check-out sheets

- Orders all branded goods and furnishings, reports to lead producer with all invoices and

ensure compliance with finance process, use of job bags etc..

- Manage shipment tracking of goods to their correct destination

- Determine labor, trucking and support equipment/materials needed to successful install

and breakdowns (pallet jacks, fork lifts, golf carts, tools, protective coverings etc..)

- On-site management of fabrication materials to ensure accurate and quality installation

- Site visits where necessary to determine scale and measurements for build-outs

- Deadline tracking and organization for long and short-term Special Projects
